TRADITIONAL SNACKS "KLEPON"



Ingredients:

    
250 grams of glutinous rice flour
    
225 ml of warm water
    
30 suji leaves, crushed
    
1 tablespoon water whiting
    
¼ tsp salt
    
100 grams of brown sugar, comb
    
½ coconuts and a half old, coarsely grated, steamed with ¼ teaspoon salt for 10 minutes
    
1 sheet of pandan leaves
HOW TO MAKE
    
Pour 1 tablespoon of warm water to the leaves suji, suji leaf knead, squeeze and strain.
    
Mix the glutinous rice flour, water and salt whiting, stir well. Pour water suji leaves and warm water and knead until smooth.
    
Take 1 teaspoon of dough, put brown sugar contents and form whole. Boil in boiling water until the float. Remove and roll in coconut steamed klepon circle evenly. Serve 10 fruit cake covered klepon with pandan leaves.
Tip: Dough that is yet to be established should be covered with cloth or plastic so that it does not dry because the dough will break easily when formed when dry. When that happens, we can add 1-2 tsp water, stir well and then can be formed.
